Current Prayer List

A listing of more consistent Prayer Needs & Praises (Updated January 27, 2016):

    • Continued Praises for the Lord's clear leading in and provision for our transition to the US.
    • Some have asked whether we left Russia because of the political or economic situation. To the contrary, we are so grateful not to have come "off the foreign field" as a result of the many more difficult and often unexpected reasons, for which many other missionary family have to leave:
      • war, civil unrest, political persecution
      • health reasons
      • family concerns: marital stress, a child not thriving
      • and the list goes on.
    • Coming "off the field" can be traumatic for missionary families. While we are better off than most, we are certainly still missing "home" in various ways, missing the adventure and constant intrigue of living in a different culture overseas. So we are learning to make a new home in American culture, and to enculturate to an entirely new area of the US for us (Denver, CO).
    • Educational options for Olivia. Priscilla is currently homeschooling Olivia, supplemented by weekly classes at a Charter School designed to support homeschooling families. Initially, we thought this was a good option to help see Olivia through the many changes that our transition to the US would bring. We are very grateful for this option, but we are constantly considering what are the best options in light of her dyslexia, dysgraphia assessment.
    • Imago Christi Team. Please pray for those team members who are still raising their financial support and long to be able to dedicate their gifts and energies to full-time spiritual formation ministry! Also pray for new recruits to join our ranks in various capacities, and of various ages and backgrounds!
    • Pray for our Leadership Transition, as Bill steps into the team leader role in Imago Christi in April, and for Tom Ashbrook as he then steps out of that role and into a year-long Leadership Leave, in which he will have limited involvement in the community that he founded and dearly loves. He and his wife Charlotte will spend part of this their 50th Anniversary summer in Europe.
    • Keep praying for peace between Russia and Ukraine and Europe, and for the courage for believers to stand up and be unified. (see post "The Russian-Ukraine Crisis")
    • Support Raising Efforts: about 80% of our monthly expenses covered by current donations, leaving over $1400 in additional monthly contributions to raise to be fully funded.

    1. Wow, lots of changes for everyone!! I'm glad you caught the TB before it became more serious. Also glad you'll have the benefit of culture-shock adaptation help & debriefing!! May God continue to provide all that you need.

P.S. Karina looks like an actress in "Braveheart," the woman that William Wallace secretly married in the woods. :-)
